Whether you're frustrated with a new puppy's antics, puzzled by your dog's phobia of vacuums, or simply need to improve your pup's leash manners, Pawsitive Partnerships will provide you with the tools you need to live in harmony with your furry family members!
Dog training techniques are force-free and effective. Pawsitive Partnerships utilizes the science of behavior modification and research in canine cognition to develop strategies that work best for your dog as an individual. These strategies implement positive reinforcement, building your dog's trust and confidence.
I'm Rachel Callery, a dog trainer and behavioral consultant based in Atlanta. My academic background in behavior and my training experience have given me the opportunity to work with dogs, horses, parrots, and primates.
My mother is a veterinarian and her career sparked my interest in animal behavior and communication at a young age. I loved assisting in her clinic and helping the animals de-stress before their exams! I attended the University of Georgia to study psychology for my undergraduate degree, where I entered UGA's animal behavior lab and began my research. I graduated in 2013 with a BS in Psychology, and minors in both Cognitive Science and Biology.
After earning my bachelor's degree, I began grad school at Georgia State University to continue research and started dog training professionally soon after. My clients frequently compliment my patient training style and ability to connect with their dogs. The relationships we build during training are very valuable to me. Nothing is more fulfilling than seeing my canine clients making progress, meeting their training goals, and developing a deeper bond with their humans!
Grizzly is the Pawsitive Partnerships marketing executive and mascot!
He enjoys helping with training and will often assist in sessions to set a good example for my canine students or help work with dogs who are afraid of other dogs.
When he's not working, he loves to swim, go to the dog park, and learn new things. Grizzly's most recent accomplishment has been learning to scent-track and indicate the location of my car keys!
